Winter in Sulden
The high-altitude trail starts 100 m below the hotel: 7.5 km of natural snow at 1,900 m.
01 · The high-altitude trail
Sulden’s high-altitude trail is 7.5 km long and runs at 1,850 to 1,940 m. It starts around 100 m below Hotel Cornelia, so you clip into your skis almost at the door.
It is groomed for classic and skating, suits a gentle glide as well as serious training, and is one of the highest cross-country trails in Europe.
02 · Season and trail pass
Depending on snow, the trail is groomed on natural snow from early December to late April. Day and weekly passes are available directly at reception.
Along the way, the great peaks of the valley are always in view: the Ortler, the Königsspitze and the Cevedale.

03 · Snowshoeing
Once a week, Hotel Cornelia’s programme includes a snowshoe hike with certified mountain guides from Sulden.
Snowshoeing needs no previous experience and no special equipment, and children can join in too. If you want to go further, the Sulden mountaineering school runs guided snowshoe tours through deep-snow, untouched winter landscapes.

04 · After the trail
After cross-country skiing, the sauna at Hotel Cornelia is open daily from 3 pm to 7 pm. And if you fancy a few downhill runs, the cable car is a 5-minute walk away.
